Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Web Designer and Content Specialist to join their team. This role sits at the intersection of IT and Marketing, responsible for continually improving the look, feel, and functionality of our WordPress/WooCommerce websites while ensuring brand consistency across our portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain visually engaging WordPress websites, focusing on aesthetics, typography, intuitive layouts, and clear navigation.
• Create and manage attractive landing pages, promotional banners, and custom graphics that elevate brand presence and user engagement.
• Maintain and enhance website UI/UX based on company standards and customer feedback
• Collaborate with our copywriter and graphic designer to integrate content and visual elements
• Execute the complete design process: concept ideation, mockups, obtaining approval, and implementation
• Ensure brand consistency across all digital properties
Optimize website layouts for improved user experience and conversion rates
• Maintain and update website content as needed
• Implement SEO best practices in collaboration with our digital marketing team
• Stay current with web design trends and recommend innovations when appropriate Other responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing WordPress/WooCommerce websites
• Proficiency in WordPress theme customization and optimization
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic PHP
• Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization
• Familiarity with e-commerce conversion optimization
• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional design aesthetic
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Flatsome UX Builder, Elementor, or similar WordPress page builders
• Knowledge of WooCommerce customization and optimization
• Experience working with industrial or B2B e-commerce sites
• Understanding of web accessibility standards
• Basic understanding of SEO principles
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
