Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab
Location: Midland, MI Start Date: 10/13/2025 Assignment Length: 13 WeeksShift Details:
Days: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
40-hour guarantee
Weekends: For call only
On-call: 10 shifts per month (includes IR/Vascular and STEMI)
Position Summary:
This Cath Lab RN provides care for patients before, during, and after angiography, interventional, cardiac catheterization procedures, and other diagnostic testing. The RN performs pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation, post-procedure care, and patient education. May scrub in and assist physicians and Cath Lab team members as needed.Responsibilities:
35% : Provide nursing care for catheterization/angiography cardiovascular patients; assist with stress echocardiograms, treadmill exams, nuclear/pharmacologic stress testing, tilt table, echocardiograms (NS/Definity), cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Assist with prep, procedure, and recovery for IR procedures. Evaluate and screen patients for safety; provide sedation monitoring and document appropriately. Apply Holter/Event/Ambulatory BP monitors; insert PICC lines; act as vascular access expert.
35% : Operate equipment and manage supplies including cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic equipment, pacemakers/ICDs, intraaortic balloon pumps, crash carts, IV pumps, defibrillators, glucometers, stress machines, and other nursing supplies.
15% : Scrub in for procedures with the physician.
15% : Record all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets; develop and enhance cardiovascular education materials and programs.
Submission Requirements:
Cath Lab RN experience – Required
BLS & ACLS (AHA) – Required
Interventional Radiology experience – Highly Preferred
1+ years Electrophysiology experience – Highly Preferred
Cardiac rhythm interpretation – Highly Preferred
Knowledge & operation of intraaortic balloon pump – Highly Preferred
Travel experience – Highly Preferred
Epic experience – Preferred
