Position Description

We are looking for an adaptable, driven Safety Manager who desires to be part of a dynamic team with company values centered around teamwork, ownership, and professionalism.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure proper safety equipment, resources, materials are present
  • Review job site safety plans for compliance
  • Conduct weekly job site safety meetings
  • Ensure Subs are aware of all safety requirements
  • Maintain project OSHA 300 logs
  • Conduct safety inspections
  • Develop and implement safety planning for projects
  • Identify, investigate and resolve job site hazards
  • Provide job site trainings to all job site staff and subs
  • Ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met
  • Implement "Stop work" as needed for project sites out of compliance or eliminate hazards
  • Ensure project outcomes are achieved, risks and liabilities are mitigated and managed
  • Assist with Worker's Compensation claims

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Investigating and resolving job site hazards
  • Exceptionally through and oriented toward being able to handle multiple activities simultaneously
  • Proficient abilities around providing direction
  • Counseling and training to Site Safety Coordinators
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and compliance
  • Expertise in risk assessment and hazard identification
  • Knowledge of the steps involved in documenting and investigating construction site accidents
  • Enhance and facilitate safety training programs

Education:

  • 3-5 years experience with commercial construction industry or with commercial maintenance industry
  • OSHA / CPR and Standard First Aid training/certification
  • Bilingual is a plus
