Job Description

Position: Traveling Private Chef

 

Location:   Orange County, California, USA

 

Contract:   Full-time, permanent

 

Salary:   Above industry standard DOE + housing stipend

 

Accommodation:   not provided (not live-in)

 

Start Date:   Within the next 3/4 weeks

 

Guests: U p to 10/12 for daily meals, depending on family visits (usually 4 guests)

 

Transport Requirement:   A valid US driver’s license is required

 

Language Requirement:   English

 

 

Job description:

 

A   high-net-worth family   in Orange County, California is seeking a versatile and   experienced Private Chef   for their primary residence, with   regular travel to other properties   including a   few residences in California , another one in   central US and one in Hawaii .

This is a long-term opportunity in a warm and casual family atmosphere.

No staff meal cooking is required from the chef at this stage.

The principal is highly spontaneous, and the chef should be prepared for frequent and often unplanned trips aboard the family’s private aircraft.

The chef will prepare   daily meals from scratch , including   health-conscious, high-protein dishes   tailored for the principal, and diverse cuisine for family meals. The chef must be comfortable cooking for children and interacting with family members while   maintaining a clean and organized kitchen   at all times.

Duties include managing kitchen stock and ingredient freshness, grocery shopping, cleaning post-meal prep, and domestic travel with the family on short notice.   Flexibility is essential , with a standard 5-day workweek but occasional longer work schedule may be required during travel or family events.

All travel costs are covered and extra time off is offered after a longer trip with the principals, when and if it happens.

The ideal candidate has a   down-to-earth personality , a   flexible attitude ,   Zero Ego   and great initiative in the kitchen.

A car may be provided depending on the candidate.
