Lead Java Full Stack Engineer (React.js & AWS) – Onsite NYC

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer with over 12 years of hands-on experience in designing and delivering enterprise-grade software solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, React.js, AWS, and SQL , and a strong ability to lead technical teams and drive innovation.

Location: New York, NY – Onsite (5 days/week)
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, AWS, and SQL.
• Manage the complete software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for maintainable and secure code.
• Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD processes and ensure smooth deployments.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate relevant innovations into development practices.
• Ensure application security and compliance with industry standards.
• Communicate project progress and technical insights to stakeholders regularly.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, React.js, AWS, and SQL .
• Proven track record of leading complex software projects from concept to delivery.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of technology trends.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Annual Salary : $130k – $160k (based on experience and qualifications)

Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , subject to performance and company policy.
