Barback – State of Play Hospitality (Flight Club) We are seeking a dedicated Barback to support bartenders and maintain a high‑quality guest experience in our social darts® venue. The role is part‑time or full‑time and reports to the Assistant General Manager. Position Purpose Barbacks ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, and ready to serve guests. This includes restocking, preparing garnishes, cleaning the bar top, and assisting bartenders with cocktail preparation. Working in an energetic atmosphere, the Barback must possess strong product knowledge and teamwork skills. Responsibilities Build rapport with guests, actively assist, and communicate requests. Maintain the bar area, ensuring a clean and organized workspace. Support quick and efficient service by restocking, preparing garnishes, and ensuring smooth workflow. Manage inventory, conduct stock counts, and store items properly. Adhere to cleaning routines and safety procedures. Arrive punctually for shifts, dress appropriately, and uphold health/hygiene standards. Change kegs, cut fruit, and restock quickly. Complete opening, closing, and running duties as assigned. Foster a collaborative environment by training new barbacks and encouraging teamwork. Requirements & Minimum Qualifications Current food handlers and alcohol certification, maintained through employment. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high‑volume environment. Availability for varied shifts, weekends, and holidays. Able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Capability to lift over 50 lbs if necessary. Authorized to legally work in the U.S. Pass training exams with a 90 % or better in Food and Beverage and all issued training tests.
