Overview: A leading packaging manufacturer is seeking a driven and experienced Area Sales Manager to manage and grow a $12M territory within the Southeast U.S. This is a high-impact, relationship-focused role ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge and a hunter mentality. You’ll inherit ~30 accounts and be responsible for building them out while aggressively pursuing new opportunities in the food and beverage sector.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow existing client relationships across a diverse territory
Identify and close new business opportunities in the food and beverage packaging sector
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including graphics, logistics, and sales support
Provide accurate forecasting, maintain CRM updates (HubSpot), and submit timely expense reports
Ensure territory inventory and pricing align with company guidelines
Support collections and address customer issues with urgency and professionalism
Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and industry events
What We’re Looking For:
Must-Haves:
3+ years of B2B sales experience in flexible or rigid packaging (food & beverage industry preferred)
Proven success in relationship-building and solution selling
Strong organizational skills and CRM experience (HubSpot is a plus)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75%
Tech-savvy: proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice-to-Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Experience managing a $12M+ book of business
Knowledge of packaging materials, processes, or machinery
Background in CPG, food, pharma, chemicals, or cosmetics
Desire to grow into a leadership role overseeing a larger territory

Salary Range: $130,000–$150,000 base + uncapped bonus potential
Travel: 50–75% (primarily by car within a 5-hour radius)
