Location: Sports Research Headquarters - 784 W Channel Street San Pedro, Ca 90731

Reports To: CFO

Working Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience, plus benefits

Sports Research has an opportunity for an experienced, full-time Accounting Assistant to join our busy team here in our beautiful San Pedro, CA office.

Summary:

As an Accounting Assistant, your role involves providing administrative and financial support to the busy Accounting Department.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Accounts Receivable

  • Download and prepare payout reports for e-commerce channels
  • Enter refunds and cancellations from e-commerce channels
  • Run reports to review financial data for accuracy and update as needed
  • Prepare invoices: creating, distributing and tracking itemized invoices for customers
  • Investigating discrepancies or issues
  • Administer payment-related notifications or communications for customers or clients
  • Invoicing customers or vendors
  • Reconcile, calculate and process commissions
  • Create recurring Credit Memos for Key Accounts
  • Prepare discounts given reports for the marketing team on a monthly basis

Accounts Payable

  • Enter freight charges into commission sheets and in NetSuite
  • Download and enter UPS package bills from portal
  • Work with the Quality team to obtain approval on bills for testing in Wrike
  • Work with the purchasing team & traffic to obtain Proof of Deliveries for payment
  • Weekly paper filing and year-end paper consolidation
  • Rename and save digital files in various locations
  • Work with various departments in Wrike receive approved invoices
  • Communicate with vendors and follow up

Create and update written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for your role

Other tasks as needed/assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a financial role
  • Previous NetSuite experience is preferred
  • Project Management system experience, preferably Wrike
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Isolating or manipulating specific details in large data sets
  • Accurate arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, percentages, and sequential operations.
  • Good communication both written and verbal
  • Dependable and trustworthy
  • Accurate
  • Detail and task-oriented
  • Multitasker able prioritize workload
  • Excellent time management
  • Intuitive understanding of what needs to be done to effectively assist the financial team
