Longs Peak Animal Hospital is a fast-paced small animal practice committed to providing the highest standard of veterinary care and excellent customer service, while maintaining a fun and cooperative team atmosphere. Our hospital, located on the north side of Longmont, Colorado, has been established for over 55 years. Privately owned by two long-term associate veterinarians, our team includes four DVMs, three RVTs, and fantastic support staff.We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, technically adept individual with great communication skills and a positive attitude to join our team as an assistant.We are open 6 days per week with extended hours Monday through Thursday (8 am-8 pm), Friday & Saturday (8 am-6 pm).Candidates must be available to work some weekend shifts; work weeks are scheduled as four 10-hour shifts. There are rotating shifts that vary between 7:30 am-5:30 pm, 8 am-6 pm, 9 am-7 pm, and 10 am-8 pm. Responsibilities will include restraining animals safely and compassionately, communicating with clients regarding the medical status of their pet, assisting veterinarians with examinations, reviewing medical records, assisting with surgery, and other duties as necessary to optimize the flow of clients and patients through the outpatient hospital. Our benefits include (but are not limited to): one hour paid lunch, health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, SIMPLE IRA, pet care discount, uniform allowance, and paid vacation. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience.To apply for this position, please submit a copy of your resume and a personalized cover letter that describes how you are the perfect fit for our team.
