HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a travel assignment in the Emergency Department at a Level I trauma center in Rochester, NY. The ED manages over 100,000 visits annually and treats a diverse patient population with a wide variety of diagnoses. This assignment focuses exclusively on med/surg boarder patients within the ED, allowing nurses to practice their med/surg skills in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Provide direct care for med/surg boarder patients within the ED.
Collaborate with assistive personnel to maintain a 1:5 patient ratio.
Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition.
Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team.
Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety, and infection control standards.
Requirements:
Active RN License in New York State
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
Telemetry experience required
Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
Certifications Required:
BLS – American Heart Association
ACLS – American Heart Association
NIHSS
