Glendora Employment Agency, Inc. is a boutique staffing firm located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley. GEA specializes in bringing local job seekers together with local employers. We are currently seeking a Temporary Loan Operations Support Clerk for a credit union in San Dimas.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide support for the Loan Operations Department with tasks relating to the servicing of mortgage & consumer loan accounts. Cultivates and retains member accounts by determining the nature and extent of each member's financial service needs and makes them aware of additional services and accounts available; gives each member the best possible service; actively sells and promotes full line of investments and financial services in person, over the phone, and in writing.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

· Process incoming and outgoing mail.

· Perform clerical duties such as, but not limited to filing, copying, faxing, scanning, updating loan records, uploading documents to core systems, and ancillary pay-off tasks, as needed.

· Send adverse action letters.

· Create and send letters on behalf of credit union

· Send communication to members via email.

· Maintain and update department reports.

· Prepare paid in full loan files for storage.

· Maintain the loans in the database.

· Assist in answering phone calls with members, branches, auto dealers, and verifications of memberships.

· Pull credit reports when needed for monthly reports.

· Provide quality member service by staying current on all services and products.

· Responsible for following handbook policies and consumer lending procedures.

· Comply with all regulatory requirements for financial institutions, including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC & Fair Lending Regulations.

· Demonstrate enthusiastic support of the credit union’s purpose/mission, vision, values, & long-term objectives.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience :

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Minimum of one year of experience working in a financial institution preferred.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.

· Ability to deal effectively with multiple tasks and interruptions.

· When asked to travel for work purposes, must possess a valid driver's license and car insurance, and a reliable form of transportation.

· Possess strong organizational skills, good attention to detail, the ability to prioritize, effectively manage time, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Good oral and written communication skills.

· Professional telephone etiquette.

· Ability to exercise confidentiality.

 

Position Type: Temporary (approximately 3 - 4 months)

Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm

Pay Rate: $20/hour
