Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will serve as an Integration and Test Electrical Engineer for Sentinel Program, requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities may include:
- Support the installation, integration, and testing of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom equipment used to further research efforts on superconducting microelectronic devices.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate equipment issues to support system build-out and sell-off.
- Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
- Collaborate with research scientists and systems engineers to perform system architecture characterization studies on various system components.
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods for individual pieces of equipment (both custom and COTS) and entire systems.
- Compile data and help to define changes required in testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, and new testing requirements.
- Performing hands-on electrical testing at CCA level test setup and execution
- Performing hands-on electrical testing at a systems level
- Incorporating hardware and/or software design changes
- Documenting & dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause & corrective actions
Basic Qualifications for Principal Integration and Test:
- 5 Years with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline; 3 Years with Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline, or 1 year with a PhD
- Active DoD Secret Level security clearance
- Ability to innovate and lead digital transformation efforts
- Working knowledge in one of the following languages: MATLAB, Python, C, or C++
- Demonstrated ability to lead out at solving problems and driving all tasks to completion
- Ability to work at a fast pace, while multi-tasking, and still communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a team environment, and lead small projects or teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on electrical testing and diagnostic experience
- Experience in Test script development with HW interfaces
- Experience working with operational hazards such as overhead lifting, Thermal Chambers, and Vibration Test systems
- Experience with external customer interfacing including meetings, presentations & negotiations
- Experience performing formal requirements decomposition and/or verification
Preferred Qualifications for Principal Integration and Test:
- 8 Years with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline; 6 Years with Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline, or 4 years with a PhD
- Active TS/SCI with poly security clearance.
- Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
- Working knowledge of standard design components: filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers, etc.
- Experience with MES, or other digital work instruction platform
- Ability to lead out at solving problems and driving all tasks to completion
