MANTECH  seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented  Systems Administrator to join our team onsite in  Norfolk, Virginia.  This is an  onsite  position. 
 
 
 Join the  Navy's Continuous Training Environment (NCTE)program and contribute to the evolution of warfighter readiness. We provide critical engineering and technical expertise for the U.S. Navy's premier  Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC)training capability. Our work involves seamlessly integrating live training with synthetic systems to create highly realistic and complex global training environments. We also drive the development of advanced representations for joint, theater, and national systems, and model new weapons technologies and emerging threats, ensuring our forces are prepared for any challenge. 
 
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide Tier 3 technical remote and onsite support and guidance to NCTE Range end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systems
Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on maintaining a secure IT environment
Strong understanding of Group Policy Management and Active Directory in Windows environments
Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively
Up to 25% travel can be expected
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant IT systems experience
Experience in systems administration with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments
Must have CompTIA Security+ CE
Must have a VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating System (OS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
