Responsible for completing accelerated development track to Store Manager during the specified timeframe as outlined in the learning plan. Under the direction of the Store Manager, oversees the operation (front-end and pharmacy) of a Walgreens store. Supports store operations by shadowing or assisting the Store Manager in leading the store throughout the learning journey. Training & Personal Development Complete rigorous, accelerated program including all certifications needed for the Store Manager role. Attend and complete classroom learning, online training, and on-the-job training. Fulfill assigned rotations and learning objectives by spending time in other stores in the area as assigned. Follow individual development plans offered by District Manager. Participate in one-on-one conversations with Store Manager and District Manager for continuous professional growth and demonstrate proficiency in learning topics with the Director of Pharmacy and Retail operations. Seek self-development by monitoring own performance, setting high standards, and learning about retail, pharmacy, and management best practices. Learn and implement compliance SOPs across front-end and pharmacy. Gain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software. Obtain pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by state law (and pursue PTCB certification, as required). Customer Experience Engage customers and patients, greet them, offer assistance, resolve complaints promptly, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience. Share customer service best practices. Monitor customer service, provide coaching, training, and develop improvement plans. Empower team members to resolve customer issues effectively and build loyalty. Support Store Manager in observing customer service trends, analyzing feedback, and improving service metrics. Operations Shadow Store Manager, gain experience, supervise store operations and team members, including opening/closing, shift changes, and task delegation. Supervise merchandising tasks, including resets, displays, and promotional setups. Support asset protection by monitoring loss prevention programs and systems. Learn to operate surveillance and ensure price accuracy. Analyze inventory trends and supervise inventory management. Ensure SOP adherence for receiving, pricing, and returns. Supervise merchandise handling. Supervise store operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, including sale of alcohol, tobacco, food, and pharmacy products. Ensure safety and well-being of team members, utilize Security Operations Center effectively. Follow company policies, maintain respectful relationships, and complete assigned tasks. Business Performance Management Learn to analyze financial and performance data. Develop action plans to improve sales, control costs, and reduce loss. Identify sales opportunities to promote store and pharmacy growth. Review asset protection data and develop strategies to minimize loss. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 3 years retail management experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking), except in Puerto Rico. Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended days. Willing to accept Store Manager assignment if offered. Willing to transfer within the same hiring Area. Preferred Qualifications PTCB Certification. Bachelor’s Degree. Experience in retail or hospitality management, including leadership and customer service roles. This position is open until filled.
