Staff Accountant (GovCon)
Fairfax, VA

Hybrid Remote (2 days remote; 3 days onsite)

MUST:
2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or government contracting environments
2+ years of recent Government Contracting experience
2+ years of experience with Deltek Costpoint
2+ years of experience with A/P from receipt to distribution
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Must have Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, Deltek)
A desire to learn and grow in the field of accounting and finance
Experience performing and participating in billing, collections, accounts receivable analysis and reconciliation; researching accounting issues; and analyzing large volumes of accounting data
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Bachelors degree (or pursuant) in business, accounting, finance or other relevant discipline

DUTIES:
Administration of general bookkeeping and monthly payables processes.
Manage the workflow of accounts payable from receipt to distribution.
Perform vendor management and compliance.
Validate the expenditure against hours reporting and contract.
Assist with pulling and compiling various reports and financial data.
Work with staff and partners to collect and classify credit card expenses.
Ensure expense recognition and job costing in appropriate period.
Work with corporate team on other accounting related projects and administrative duties.
