Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator in Garland, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and move products throughout the warehouse. This role requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a smooth workflow.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and pallet jacks, to transport materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload products from delivery trucks and storage areas, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movement and maintain accurate records within the warehouse management system.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with team members to build pallets and organize products for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed, adhering to safety guidelines at all times.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating equipment in compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a distribution center is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment, including cranes and pallet jacks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• A valid forklift operator certification is required; additional certifications are a plus.
• Must demonstrate a commitment to safety in all aspects of work.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Must have their own transportation.
