About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on Regulatory and EHS. This role is pivotal in providing legal support for a wide range of environmental, health, and safety, sustainability, and product stewardship matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to waste management, release reporting, pollution control, environmental remediation, and various other EHS and product stewardship issues. The role also involves working closely with global and domestic legal teams on strategic initiatives and providing guidance on complex legal regulatory questions. The Senior Counsel will be a key business partner, driving the development of legal policies and procedures, and will be involved in EHS audits, compliance assurance, and training. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, be an active member of a U.S. state bar, and have substantial experience in multinational law firms or corporations. A deep knowledge of U.S. environmental and chemical control laws is essential, with experience in international EHS and chemical control regulations being a plus. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in a relevant field such as chemistry, environmental science, or engineering, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams. The role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong commitment to legal excellence. Responsibilities also include supporting the General Counsel on various matters and engaging with outside counsel as necessary.
