Job Description: The Ambulatory Telephone Triage Nurse plays a crucial role in providing timely and efficient healthcare support to patients by telephone. The Telephone triage nurse provides timely and accurate assessment of a patient's symptoms and utilizes critical thinking, nursing judgement, and approved decision support tools to provide appropriate nursing advice and determine the level of care required. Education:

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program - Required
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing - Preferred

Experience:

• 1 Year Acute Care Hospital - Preferred
• 1 Year Ambulatory, triage, or medical office experience - Preferred
• 1 Year Telephone Triage - Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

• RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required

• Evenings and weekends may be required
• Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making ability
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to work well independently
• Functions well in a high-stress environment
• Sound critical thinking
• Effective time management and organization skills
• Empathetic with the ability to develop trust with patients
• Bilingual in English/Spanish- preferred

M ust be available to work Full Time hours for the first 30 days for training purposes Work Shift: 08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $69.59 - $93.95Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area . Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
