Our Quality Assurance Engineers work with Software Development Engineers, to understand features and technical implementation. They also work with groups such as Product Management, and UX to understand how Flex drivers utilize our features and develop test plans and suites to validate them.

Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black box testers, they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks from start to completion with minimal help. QAEs would be responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail and coming up with the test strategy/planning, coming up with the test cases, driving the test case sign-off processes with the stakeholders, contributing to code level unit tests, test execution and reporting.

Key job responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will:
- Work closely with engineers and business owners throughout the development and testing lifecycle, including the requirements gathering and design analysis
- Drive the creation of test plans and test cases, efficiently execute test cases across all functional and UI areas of our products
- Interpret and report testing results, and be an advocate for quality in every phase of the development process
- Automate all the test cases for the features before the deployments, focused on UI, API or Mobile automation for Amazon Flex Offer products

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
