Title: Quality & Sanitation Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance & Sanitation Manager to lead our plant’s food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation programs. This role owns all aspects of regulatory compliance, lab operations, and sanitation systems — ensuring our products meet or exceed all FDA, SQF, and GFSI standards. You’ll lead a dedicated QA and sanitation team and play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all quality and sanitation operations, ensuring compliance with FDA, SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards.
• Serve as HACCP Team Lead and PCQI; act as primary contact for audits and inspections.
• Lead internal and external audit readiness, nonconformance investigations, and CAPA processes.
• Direct laboratory testing, quality documentation, and supplier quality programs.
• Manage and improve sanitation procedures (CIP & COP) and environmental monitoring.
• Train and develop QA and sanitation staff; foster a culture of accountability and food safety.
• Coordinate recalls, traceability exercises, and regulatory communications.
• Analyze quality and sanitation data to drive process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in food or beverage manufacturing (aseptic or high-acid preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GFSI, and sanitation best practices.
• HACCP, PCQI, and GFSI certifications required (SQF preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with RedZone Compliance a plus.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
