Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a QA Tester for our client in the Consulting domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 6+ Months Contract with possible extension

Location: Austin, TX

Salary: $40.00/Hourly

Role: QA Tester

Primary Skills: QA Testing

Role Description: The QA Tester must have 5+ years of experience. We are looking for a QA Automation Tester who is willing to work onsite in Austin, TX, 5 days a week.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and implementing systematic test plans. You will collaborate with software developers and project supports to determine project scope and requirements.

Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing quality work output, screening for errors, and refining usability throughout the software development and implementation process.

QA Tester Job Responsibilities and Duties:

- Executes test cases under varying circumstances

- Documents and evaluates test results

- Ability to write test scripts for automated tools and testing

- Detects, logs, and reports program bugs and glitches

- Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot errors

- Reviews test procedures and develops test scripts

- Partners with engineers to drive QA efforts

- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role

- Familiarity with Agile frameworks

- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

- Working knowledge of test management tools (Jira, HP ALM) and testing software tools (Postman, Selenium, SoapUI) and SQL (basic)

- Excellent communication skills

- Attention to details in the requirements

- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude

- Strong organizational skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Travel: No

Local Preferred: Yes

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)
