Our client is seeking an onsite Production Trainer in their Farmingdale with a competitive salary of 70-75K plus bonuses and benefits!
We are looking for an experienced Production Trainer to lead the onboarding, training, and skill development of employees on food manufacturing production lines. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of production operations, safety protocols, food handling standards, and the ability to effectively train and certify line workers through hands-on, task-based training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT): Train new hires and provide cross-training for existing employees on the safe and efficient operation of production line equipment, workstations, and processes.
- Develop Task-Based Training Modules: Create structured training content focusing on specific tasks like batching, mixing, packaging, labeling, and sanitation.
- Demonstrate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Clearly explain and show SOPs for each production stage to ensure consistency and adherence to regulations.
- Evaluate Trainee Performance: Observe and assess employee skills during and after training, offering feedback and additional training if necessary to meet safety and production standards.
- Support Continuous Improvement: Identify training gaps or inefficiencies and suggest updates to training materials, line configurations, or procedures.
- Enforce Safety & Food Hygiene: Instruct and reinforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other regulatory compliance procedures.
- Maintain Training Records: Monitor trainee progress, certifications, and task completion using internal systems or checklists.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing or production line operation
- Previous experience in training or supervising production staff is preferred
- Knowledge of GMP and food safety regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead hands-on training in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to work flexible shifts or across multiple production lines as needed
