Join a 5th generation family-owned company that has been in business for over 130 years! Menzner Hardwoods Co. was founded in 1894 and has since grown to be one of the largest hardwood moulding manufacturers in the U.S. We currently employ approximately 480 people in four states.

Menzner Hardwoods Co. is seeking an experienced and confident Plant Manager for our Somerset, Kentucky facility. This facility employs approximately 160 employees and produces moulded hardwoods in this manufacturing facility. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Position Summary:

This Plant Manager position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility and its team members. This includes managing the quality and production of the operation while ensuring the safety of the team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily operations ensuring the safety and security of facility

· Monitor and advise manufacturing operations to ensure quality products are delivered to both internal and external customers

· Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

· Manage inventory levels to meet production demand and oversee regular cadence of inventory management procedures

· Monitor and analyze production workflows metrics to work towards continuous improvement and waste reduction

· Develop and monitor work schedules across shifts to ensure consistent productivity

· Develop, lead, and monitor the cohesiveness and effectiveness of plant leadership team (Safety, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Human Resources)

· Lead, motivate, train, and manage supervisors and production staff to meet or exceed goals.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in business management, or related field preferred; Master's in business administration or management a plus

· Minimum of 10 years leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing; hardwood industry experience preferred

· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

· Experience working in an ERP software system, NetSuite preferred

· Strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple teams

· Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures

· Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

· Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills

· Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

· Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
