Overview :

The Peets Counter Attendant will ensure service standards are met by providing friendly and professional service while delivering high quality food and beverage offerings. The Peets Counter Attendant will ensure service standards are met and surpassed by providing Guests with prompt, quality coffee selections, purchase, and preparation. The Peets Counter Attendant will provide Guests and fellow Team Members with a friendly, upbeat presence while maintaining a clean atmosphere. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position pays $16.50/HR.

Essential Functions :

• Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resorts Winning Attitude company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
• Welcome and connect with every Guest. Provide information regarding all products offered.
• Anticipate Guests needs and appropriately suggest additional products to enhance service and meet sales goals.
• Assist Guests in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages, food items, and retail items.
• Prepare a variety of Guest beverage orders. Serve food items and warm pastry case items when requested.
• Ensure pastry display case is well-stocked and presentable.
• Present a professional demeanor and demonstrate clear communication with all Guests and Team Members.
• Maintain knowledge of all products offered and ensure that all products are served to the Guests according to Thunder Valley Casino Resort and Peets standards.
• Using proper equipment and appropriate training, follow established policies and procedures in addition to specifications for operational flow at each station.
• Follow SOPs, recipe books, and guidelines and have all necessary supplies to provide consistency and quality of service.
• Follow cash handling and register policies including processing Guest checks following established procedures and proper tendering of transactions.
• Follow established internal control procedures for obtaining banks, returning banks, and non-cash paperwork drop.
• Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with duty rosters and cleaning standards to maintain the appearance and sanitation of the restaurant service area and equipment.
• Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products. Restock all products throughout the shift as necessary.
• Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
• Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance checklist.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. One (1) year of experience in a food service outlet is preferred.
• Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously while serving customers.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift twenty (20) lbs.
• Must be able to enter walk-in units with temperatures to -10 degrees.
• Must be able to bend and reach to a height of six (6) feet with or without assistance.
• Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
