Job Description
Responsibilities:
Reports directly to and assists the OTA President/CEO
This position entails the administrative arm of the Oklahoma Trucking Association (OTA) as well as coordinating the OTA’s events.
Administration of the general and ongoing office management includes:
Facilitating communications as directed between the OTA and members.
Executing the account receivables, payables, monthly financial reviews and occasional OKTruckPAC administration, while coordinating with the OTA’s accountant.
The Director of A/E also oversees the production of the annual Membership Directory, Buyers Guide, and Quarterly Magazine. They oversee the maintenance of the OTA website, publishes a weekly association newsletter, and provides content and support of the OTA’s social media platform(s).
This position includes being the liaison between the OTA and its two Councils, the Oklahoma Safety & Security Council (OSSC) and the Technology Maintenance Council (TMC). Assistance includes supporting the OSSC’s annual State Truck Driving Championships, the annual Safety Banquet/Awards and facilitating their monthly meetings. Assistance is also provided for the TMC’s SuperTech Competition and Fall Technology Workshop.
Events include the annual planning and execution of OTA events each year. They include the Midwinter Conference, Spring Clay Shoot, the Summer Shoot-out Golf Tournament, the Annual Convention, and the Fall Clay Shoot, as well as scheduling industry-related educational courses, and other events as determined.
Major Functions/Accountabilities:
1. Maintain office management and implementation and maintenance of non-event platforms to deliver OTA content and services in a way that is accessible, cost-effective, and consistent with the organization’s mission, policies and standards.
2. Ensure that events and content delivery strategies and plans are aligned with the organization’s strategic and financial objectives in collaboration with OTA CEO while ensuring quality experiences for event participants, sponsors, vendor partners, volunteers, board members and staff.
