The Category Space Manager plays a key role in advancing Red Bull's Space Planning function and evolving our internal methodologies. In partnership with an assigned National Category Space Analyst, this role supports strategic space initiatives across the U.S. market, focusing on National Customers and long-term impact through smart, data-driven decisions. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Category Development, Insights, Sales, I.T. and Skylab Team to inform strategy and ensure seamless execution. The National Category Space Manager is also responsible for mentoring Analyst(s), building team capabilities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of tools and processes. Expertise in tools such as the Circana, Excel, Power BI, JDA/Blue Yonder and internal Shopper & Category insights is essential. Leveraging these resources, the National Category Space Manager will deliver reporting that enhance visibility, unlock growth opportunities, and support key internal planning cycles and business objectives.
Build strategic partnership across territory with insightful planograms and fact-based storytelling. Help build the future for Category Space Analysts acting as a coach and mentor. Turn data into stories to draw conclusions, identify opportunities, make recommendations, and evaluate impact for strategic accounts. Accompany Category Development Managers or lead national retailer's meetings regarding space planning methodology and processes. Manage and drive projects for accounts by maintaining accurate timelines and resources, working with outside vendors.
Develop and maintain space planning research and resources. Develop insights-based schematic presentations using external and internal data to help drive thought-leadership for the field. Build and maintain data driven tools to capture category growth information for each Red Bull account. Conduct new space planning research and analysis, and present recommendations to the Business Insights Team. Develop and maintain Space Planning Tools suite, including but not limited to: product and image libraries, JDA tables, labels, highlights, and space calculator.
2+ years' experience in product merchandising, space planning software, or related work experience. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Ability to turn complex data sets into meaningful/actionable recommendations. Strong track record of Project Management. Ability to integrate multiple tools to solve problems. Experience with syndicated data tools (e.g., Circana, NITRO, Nielsen Answers CORE) strongly preferred. JDA Space Planning Certification, preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present both internally and externally to retailers. Must enjoy working in a fast-paced, quickly evolving role. Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to identify new opportunities to support key initiatives / improve existing processes. Strong customer service aptitude, ability to work with all levels of the organization, from Field Level to Executive Management. Customer or client-facing experience preferred. CPG industry experience a plus.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa. The base salary range for this position is $92,000 - $138,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
