As a Software Developer at Orthomerica , you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative mobile and web applications using technologies like Swift, Xcode, Dart, and Flutter. In particular, you’ll focus on our CurveCapture O&P iPhone app for 3D scanning and our eBrace web interface—tools that are used every day by our clinical customers. Reporting to the Senior Manager on the Advanced Technology team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, implement scalable solutions, and support internal deployments. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you’ll participate in code reviews, manage source control with Git, and contribute to system verification, documentation, and performance optimization. This is a hands-on role with real impact—your work will directly advance how life-changing orthotic and prosthetic devices are manufactured through cutting-edge 3D scanning and web technologies.

Responsibilities include

• Develop and maintain custom web and mobile applications.

• Support internal systems that power core business functions.

• Collaborate on system design, architecture, and clean, scalable code.

• Participate in code reviews and agile workflows to continuously improve our products.

• Troubleshoot, test, and optimize mobile applications to ensure performance and reliability.

• Work cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.

• Research and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices.

• Document development processes, application specs, and system updates.

• Use Git for version control and collaborative development.

• Support system validation, verification, and compliance documentation.

• Communicate project status and challenges clearly with your team and leadership.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Mobile Development (Swift/Dart/Xcode)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

• 3-5 years of experience in Software Development

• Knowledge of basic object-oriented programming design patterns

 

Bonus Points if you Have

• Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies and frameworks.

• Experience working in a regulated market (FDA, FAA, FCC, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.)

• Experience with GxP-validated environments.

• A proactive mindset with a knack for streamlining processes and proposing smart solutions.

• Experience deploying apps that are available on the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store

• Experience documenting software projects, processes, and design specs.

• Criteria is based on individual background, work experience ($80,000.00-$100,000.00)
