Job Title: QC Microbiology Laboratory Technician

Location: East Syracuse, NY 13057 (100% Onsite)

Duration: 06+ Months

Schedule: First Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | Occasional Overtime, Weekends & Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological laboratory testing using aseptic techniques in compliance with cGMP, compendial methods, and company procedures.
• Conduct qualification of methods and laboratory studies per scientific protocols.
• Perform environmental and utility monitoring, microbial identification, and bioburden/endotoxin testing.
• Maintain accurate records, data entry in LIMS, and adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Review worksheets and support investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure equipment reliability.
• Analyze, evaluate, and interpret data, notifying stakeholders of results and assisting in issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities for workflow, procedural improvements, and support lean laboratory initiatives.
• Promote safety and compliance by maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to laboratory safety culture.
• Support weekend and holiday laboratory operations as required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Biological Sciences or related field.
• 0–3 years of QC microbiology laboratory experience (industry experience preferred).
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, environmental monitoring, and microbiological QC testing.
• Familiarity with cGMP, GLP, GDP, and compendial testing requirements.
• Strong manual dexterity and aseptic technique skills.
• Ability to perform testing/sampling assignments independently and in a timely manner.
• BioSafety Cabinet (BSC) operations. (Preferred)
• Bioburden and endotoxin testing. (Preferred)
• PCR or molecular testing techniques. (Preferred)
