Job Description
Company Description
Nearmap is unique. A global technology company with incredible people; a market-leader with energy and spirit. Nearmap was named as one of the world’s 10 Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company magazine – and we are growing!
What we do
We provide easy, instant access to high-resolution aerial imagery, city-scale 3D content, AI datasets and integrated geospatial tools, with wide-scale coverage across the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. At the core of it, we are a location content company, a visual analytics company, and a software as a service company. Innovation is weaved into our DNA.
As the Market Research Analyst for Insurance, you will shape how Nearmap understands and anticipates the needs of our customers, markets, and competitors. This role focuses on uncovering insights that guide product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and go-to-market alignment. In this role, you will partner with product managers, go-to-market teams, and executives to answer critical questions about what to build, who to build it for, and why it matters. Collaborating with customers, analysts, and internal teams across North America and ANZ, you will turn complex signals into clear recommendations that help Nearmap stay ahead of the market and deliver exceptional value.
You will work closely with Product Managers, GTM leaders, and Strategy to inform planning, validate direction, and ensure alignment between customer needs and product execution. You’ll collaborate with Data & Analytics to design and interpret research, with Sales and Customer Success to surface insights from the field, and with Marketing to sharpen messaging and positioning. Your work will help unify the organization around a shared understanding of the market, our customers, and our competitive landscape. You will engage directly with customers, prospects, and industry experts to uncover insights that inform product direction and strategic decisions. This includes leading interviews, coordinating surveys, attending industry events, and analyzing public market and competitor signals. Your work will ensure that Nearmap remains deeply connected to the people we serve and the markets we operate in, bringing the voice of the customer and the dynamics of the industry into every product conversation.
