Role Summary:

The Loan Officer will ensure the success of the department and the credit union by proactively reaching assigned sales goals. This position will provide enthusiastic, professional, and quality service to members while identifying member lending needs and cross-selling other appropriate credit union products and services. This position has intermediate to advanced, wide-range job knowledge. This position has demonstrated the ability to deliver excellent member service and meet sales expectations consistently.

What You Will Be Doing:
  1. Provide excellent customer service to all whom we serve.
  2. Seek to deepen member relationship by delivering solutions to members' lending needs.
  3. Develop knowledge and skills through formal training classes or on-the-job experience.
  4. Maintain Generate new loan business through sales activities in accordance with assigned sales goals.
  5. Identify and recommend additional lending opportunities to increase relationships with members.
  6. Promote and sell all credit union products and services to meet sales and referral goals.
  7. Provide support to colleagues in the facilitation of the loan application from initial submission to loan funding.
  8. Recommend new and innovative ways to streamline processes.
  9. Adhere to and maintain knowledge of offered products, policies, procedures, and related regulatory requirements.
  10. Perform online video notary sessions with members for application completion and perfection of collateral.
  11. Serve as a subject matter expert in consumer loan products and applications.
  12. Assist with System Testing of new products and software.

About You:
  1. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of consumer lending
  2. Previous experience with cross-selling and/or referring products.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of credit union history and its philosophy
  4. Actively participates in community outreach events.
  5. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  6. Ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency in a high volume and sometimes stressful work environment
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers.
  8. Established capability to prioritize and manage multiple demands effectively.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently, with Moderate supervision.
  10. Ability to analyze, research and resolve straight forward to high complexity problems.
  11. Ability to maintain a positive and professional image through effective verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:
  1. Education: High School Degree or equivalent required.
  2. Minimum two (2) years of financial industry experience.
  3. Two (2) or more years of experience in sales, meeting, and exceeding sales goals.
  4. Must be a notary or obtain Remote Online Notary and Electronic Notary endorsements within 90 days of hire.
  5. Efficiently assist members with their account and loan requests and perform all aspects of account maintenance.
