The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking all menu items in a fast-paced, high-volume breakfast and lunch kitchen. This position requires strong multitasking skills, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and speed.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, cook, and plate breakfast and lunch menu items quickly and accurately according to recipes and presentation standards.

· Set up and fully stock all cooking stations before service, including prep, grill, sauté, and egg stations.

· Execute multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining food quality and ticket times.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift; follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

· Properly store, label, and rotate all ingredients and prepared foods.

· Assist with daily prep work, such as cutting produce, portioning proteins, mixing batters, and prepping sauces.

· Communicate clearly and effectively with other cooks, servers, and management to ensure smooth service flow.

· Follow portion controls and minimize food waste.

· Support team members with opening, mid-shift, and closing duties.

Qualifications

· Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a line cook, preferably in a high-volume breakfast/lunch 

· Proficient in cooking eggs, breakfast meats, pancakes, omelets, sandwiches, and lunch entrées.

· Excellent multitasking, timing, and organizational skills.

· Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

· Requires early morning shifts and weekend availability.
