As a Computacenter Principal Consultant, you will assist in providing transformative technology solutions for the world's most visionary companies. Along with implementing and assisting with designing single and multi-vendor technology solutions, you will have the opportunity to work within an industry-leading sales and technical sales team to understand our clients’ needs and craft sustainable roadmaps to achieve their goals.

From strategy to fulfillment to managed services, our engineering-centric solutions enable our clients to leverage technology to accomplish more than they have ever envisioned. This role focuses on DELL EMC Enterprise Solutions with an emphasis on the PowerFlex technology stack.

Salary range: $140K - $175K USD

What you'll be doing

• Works closely with Consulting Engineers and Principal Consultants to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
• Develop as a technical leader in technology solutions by doing the following:
  • Receive mentoring from Principal Consultants for advancement.
  • Mentor other Consulting Engineers.
  • Lead a team of resources on larger projects.
  • Review the deliverables of other Engineers, as appropriate.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Consulting Engineers.
• Be regarded as a thought leader by recommending new technologies, best practices, and tools that support the growth of the business.
• Assess customer environment and make design and solution recommendations.
• Act as liaison between Pre-Sales and Delivery teams.
• Provide design, deployment, and implementation services of single or multi-vendor solutions.
• Handle issues escalated by Consultants.
• Troubleshoot multi-vendor issues, create remediation plans, and plan execution.
• Lead Project teams as assigned.
• Be current with vendor offerings and technology.
• Achieve and maintain Industry and Partner focused certifications as it relates to your focus area(s).
• Be available to meet the customer’s IT needs.
• Achievement of individual utilization targets.
• Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.
• End-to-End understanding of PowerFlex Products, deployment models, and architecture.
• Participate in the design and implementation of the PowerFlex platform in a customer’s environment.
• Provide hands-on training to customers on PowerFlex features, management, and maintenance capabilities.
• Assist in the development of automation scripts to implement, migrate, and maintain deployed solutions.
• Collaborate with customer operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to production.

What you have

• 8+ years of implementation experience in large enterprise environments.
• Recent consulting experience is a major plus.
• Professional VMware VCAP or higher certifications are a plus.
• DELL EMC Partner Certifications preferred.
• DELL EMC PowerFlex Implementation Certification highly preferred.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Subject matter expert within your focused technology stack.
• Ability to deploy complex multi-technology solutions.
• Ability to participate in the design of complex technical solutions and provide input into bid, project, and technical documents.
• Ability to function within a large virtual technical team, with good negotiation skills and who is a self-starter.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting (bash/zsh/sh).
• Experience with troubleshooting in large complex environments.
• Experience and/or understanding of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and High-Availability concepts.
• Experience and/or understanding of current industry accepted Backup and Recovery concepts and practices.
• Demonstrated confidence in leading customer-facing discussions.
