The School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math at Madison College is hiring a full-time Information Technology Infrastructure Instructor. This position will be open until filled, with a first consideration date of September 28. After this date, the recruitment may close without further notice. This position is responsible for instruction of Information Technology in the infrastructure programs at the college level, including IT-Network System Administration and IT-Cloud DevOps Specialist. This includes developing a relevant and progressive curriculum, designing and implementing effective learning strategies and environments, utilizing innovative teaching techniques and technology, delivering instruction of high quality, assessing student learning, advising students, and participating in college service activities at the department, school, and college levels.
This position reports to the Dean in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. A faculty member in this position can expect to teach in person (day and evening), and online. All faculty are expected to teach in a variety of formats (training provided as needed for non-traditional formats).
This position is located in the vibrant and diverse city of Madison, Wisconsin's second largest city and state capital. Nestled between two recreational lakes, Madisonians are offered year-round activities for all, including the Dane County Farmers' Market located around the Capitol Square, more than 200 miles of scenic biking and hiking trails, world class restaurants, and numerous festivals and community events. But, if that's not enough, Madison is just a short 125 miles northwest of Chicago and 77 miles west of Milwaukee.

Associates Degree OR Combination of education and other accomplishments that are equivalent to the above. (If claiming equivalency, attach separate statement that presents basis for this claim and submit supporting evidence, e.g., IT Industry certifications, transcripts, publications, and other work products.)
Work Experience:
Four (4) years or 8,000 hours of combined occupational experience in information technology. The experience must include two (2) years (4,000 hours) of related work experience within the past five (5) years. (waived if 2 years post-secondary teaching experience in the last five years).
Mode of Instruction:
Experience with, or willingness to learn, different modes of instruction (online, hybrid, Classroom Live, and modes of the future).
