Industrial Painter Job Summary

We are seeking an Industrial Painter to join our commercial crew. In this role, you will apply finishes to tank trailers, industrial tanks, water valves and various metal fabrications. These coatings vary based on the needs of each customer, we frequently use a spray paint due to customer requests. Any experience you may have as a blasting operator or using pressure pots is a major plus. Applicants should feel comfortable performing physical tasks in various weather conditions.

Industrial Painter Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up blast pot and nozzle equipment
• Sandblast surfaces or remove rust as necessary
• Mix and apply paint or other coatings
• Use a brush to coat areas as necessary
• Notify manager of inventory needs
• Follow all safety regulations

Industrial Painter Requirements and Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED certificate a plus
• Industrial painting or sandblasting experience preferred
• Bilingual communication skills a plus (English and Spanish)
• Physical stamina
• Attention to detail
• Required to enter confined spaces
• Listen to direction
• Be attentive
• Be punctual
• Open to overtime work hours
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent listening skills
• Ability to ask questions
• Ability to start and finish projects within a specified time frame.

• Mechanical skills preferred
• Painting skills preferred
• Physical Requirements
• Required to use hands
• Stand for long periods of time
• Stoop, bend, reach and/or walk to perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp blast hose
• Ability to lift 75 to 100 pounds
• Climb ladders and trailers
