Amentum is seeking an HVACR Mechanic for multiple OCONUS locations contingent upon award. The HVACR Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) systems. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of HVACR equipment and systems, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. This position involves engaging with customers to understand their needs and providing effective solutions, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities - Conduct routine maintenance and repair of HVACR systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within HVACR systems and implement timely repairs.
- Supervise and train junior staff, ensuring adherence to safety standards and building codes.
- Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members, providing updates and recommendations on system operations.
- Conduct material take-offs from blueprints and prepare for installations and repairs.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and building codes.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required - \n Education and Certification : High school diploma (or GED equivalent), technical school, or trade school graduate, or equivalent apprenticeship. Formal training in stationary engineering is required.
- \n Experience : At least eight (8) years of experience in the HVACR trades, including two (2) years or more in a supervisory role.
- \n Licenses and Certifications : Must possess a Universal CFC refrigerant handling license and be qualified/certified as an HVACR mechanic in a CONUS jurisdiction.
- \n Technical Expertise : Thorough knowledge of refrigeration and HVACR systems, ability to read blueprints, and perform material take-offs.
- \n Safety and Codes : A record of safe operations and working knowledge of safety standards for mechanical systems, including building and safety codes.
- \n Leadership and Communication : Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- \n Security Clearance : Required clearances are site-driven. Must possess a SECRET security clearance at the start of the contract and obtain the appropriate clearance within eight (8) months of contract award.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands - \n Work Environment : The role involves working in various settings, including mechanical rooms, outdoors, and customer facilities. The environment may be noisy, hot, or cold, depending on the system location.
- \n Physical Demands : The position requires standing, bending, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
- \n Mental Demands : The role requires the ability to solve complex problems, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain composure under pressure while ensuring safety and efficiency.

This position is integral to maintaining the functionality and safety of HVACR systems, ensuring reliable service and customer satisfaction.
