The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Head Coach, Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field (Indoor/Outdoor) .

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The Head Coach for Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field (Indoor/Outdoor) will oversee the overall player development of the student-athletes for the program. The Head Coach for Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field (Indoor/Outdoor) will also meet all objectives of the sport within the University, Athletic Department, NCAA, and Sun Belt Conference rules and regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Counsel and monitor team members in academic, disciplinary, and personal matters.
• Support fundraising efforts for the program.
• Attend all athletic department meetings and other relative events.
• Budget management; determine budget requirements and manage all financial aspects of operations, recruitment, and scholarship budget.
• Coach and recruit student-athletes for the Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field program to include all aspects of academic success, strength and conditioning, planning of practice, organization of team meetings, film study, scheduling and trip management.
• Develop practice plans and competition schedules.
• Organize and direct student-athletes at competitions and practice; coordinate team travel. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and four years of experience coaching Track & Field (Indoor/Outdoor); or a combination of education and related experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Coaching experience in a college setting NCAA certification required.
