You will be part of a team installing fiber optic infrastructure, operating equipment, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities include: Operate directional bore equipment for underground utility construction. Perform drilling and beacon operations. Operate trenchers, plows, backhoes, excavators, and skid steers. Install and pull underground conduit and cables. Perform potholing and utility location. Collaborate with other fiber department crews on site prep, restoration, and ROW maintenance. Read and interpret design packages. Mentor less experienced coworkers. Working Conditions: Physical activities such as walking, climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 65 pounds. Work outdoors and underground in various weather conditions. Work in confined spaces and at heights. Minimum Qualifications: Horizontal directional drilling experience (2+ years preferred). Proficiency with HDD operations and equipment. Valid CDL Driver’s License and Flagger Certification. Knowledge of underground utility installations and ability to interpret design drawings.
