Position Overview The Generator Service Technician - Level III plays a critical role in all activities related to the Generator Service Department. In this role, you will act as an in-field technical expert under the supervision of the Regional Service Manager. This team member provides leadership, support, training, and mentoring to all HM Cragg Service Technicians in the region. Reporting Relationship: The Generator Service Technician - Level III reports to the Regional Service Manager. Responsibilities include: Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on power generation systems. Conduct onsite troubleshooting and diagnostics of mechanical and electrical systems. Maintain knowledge of industry technology advancements. Complete certification programs, continuing education, and training as required. Provide technical support to field technicians via calls, emails, and onsite visits. Promote safety culture and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Support process improvements and develop new procedures to enhance workflows and customer satisfaction. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of power generation experience and 2 years of troubleshooting experience. Ability to acquire and maintain certifications such as Generac Master Certified Technician and EGSA Journeyman Certification. Valid driver’s license and compliance with DOT drug and alcohol screening. Ability to lift 100 pounds, work in various physical positions, and work flexible hours including overtime and on-call shifts.
