TRC Talent Solutions is looking for a Forklift Operator for our client in Austell, GA

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Forklift Operator to play a vital role in our warehouse logistics and inventory control operations. Training is provided if not currently certified. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, staging, and storage of materials using various types of powered industrial trucks (PIT). A key part of your role will involve using RF scanning technology to ensure our inventory records are accurate, directly supporting our high standards for operational efficiency and order fulfillment.

SCHEDULE:  M-F 8am-6pm

PAY RATE: Non-Certified $14.50/hr. then $16.00/hr. upon completion of training.

Certified: $16.00/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely and proficiently operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), including but not limited to, sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and pallet jacks, to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
• Load, unload, and stage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring products are handled to prevent damage and placed in correct designated storage areas.
• Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections on all assigned equipment, documenting and reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
• Maintain the ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and safely handle materials when off the equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to perform the physical activities listed (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping).
• Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment preferred.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to successfully complete our 2-week internal forklift and safety training program.
• Proven ability or demonstrated aptitude for using warehouse technology, including RF scanners/PDAs.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on inventory accuracy.
• Willingness and flexibility to work overtime, including the mandatory monthly End-of-Month requirement.
