Job Description

F. L. Crane & Sons, Inc. an employee-owned specialty contractor with over 75 years of experience covering a wide range of finishing, metal panel systems and custom crating. We are based out of Fulton MS and operate 14 divisions throughout the southeastern part of the US. • Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints.
• Smooth out imperfections.
• Fill joints in-between panels with spackle.
• Press paper tape into compound.
• Smooth away excess material.
• Cover nail and screw depressions with spackle.
• Apply second and third coats of compound. Sand areas after each coast.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Fasten drywall panels to the inside framework of building as needed.
• Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing as needed.

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
• Drywall Finishing Experience (required)

Preferred Skill and Abilities

• Ability to finish drywall
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and with a work crew.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools required for installing drywall.
