Updated: Mai 23, 2025 - The Digital Asset Manager collaborates with regional teams to identify content needs, ensuring timely availability and alignment with global and regional content calendars, and enhancing asset readiness for deployment. This position analyzes content usage and performance to drive future content strategies, while managing asset naming, storage, maintenance, and compliance with usage rights and copyrights. This role oversees Brandfolder Digital Assets Management software, ensuring structured organization and technical updates, and serves as the primary contact for cross-functional partners requiring assets for projects. A Review of Professional Skills and Functions for Digital Asset Manager Asset Management: Managing and fulfilling asset requests. Asset Coordination: Gathering assets from internal stakeholders and helping traffic those. Asset Organization: Receiving assets and organizing those assets within the system. System Leadership: Being a champion of the asset management system internally and acting as the main point of contact for all needs. Asset Handling: Handling tasks such as uploading, tagging metadata, and organizing the assets in an easy user way. Vendor Collaboration: Working with agency partners and outside vendors to gather assets needed and ensuring if there are issues communication is handled. System Improvement: Bringing solutions and ideas on how to better improve the DAM such as folder structures, migration plans, processes, and more. Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting for errors and helping internal partners use the system. Photo Coordination: Facilitating photo requests and acting as the main point of contact between the studio and the operations teams. System Feedback: Feedback to the Development and Communications team on the internal system and best ways to use it. Asset Migration: Sort and process current existing digital media assets and prepare them to be securely migrated and complete the migration (in the future). Asset Curation: Process, tag, and curate high volumes of photography and product assets. User Support & Administration: Provide user support and administration. User Management: Add users to the system. Technical Support: T1 troubleshooting support. Image Clearance Processing: Process image clearance requests for users. Image Search Assistance: Provide image search support for users. User Experience Optimization: Identify user needs and propose solutions to give the user a better asset management experience. Project Collaboration: Contribute and lend expertise to asset management project teams. System Ownership: Own the Digital Asset Management system. Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with departments and individuals who create, approve, or use assets. Content Gap Analysis: Work with regional teams to identify content gaps/requirements. Content Coordination: Work closely with the global and regional content calendars to ensure teams are ready to use content when delivered. Content Performance Reporting: Report on content usage and performance, using data to guide future content needs. Asset Management Compliance: Ensure correct naming, storage, and maintenance of assets and associated usage rights. Digital Asset Monitoring: Manage and monitor access and use of digital assets, ensuring brand consistency, compliance, and copyright adherence. Asset Promotion and Optimization: Promote and optimize the use of assets, notifying regional and partner teams when new and/or effective content is available. Asset Documentation and Organization: Maintain documentation, storage, organization, cataloging, and analysis of all Company digital assets. Cross-functional Asset Support: Serve as the point of contact for the entire company when cross-functional partners require assets to support ongoing projects. Brandfolder Management: Manage and oversee the structure, organization, and technical updates for Brandfolder Digital Assets Management software. Creative Asset Handling: Experience in handling large quantities of creative assets, including ingestion, review, approval, handoff, permission management, tagging, and archiving. Organizational Skills: Track record of being highly organized and detail-oriented. Team Liaison: Serve as the liaison between the on-set team and the retouching team for facilitating final selects, missing images, etc. Quality Control: Manage quality control for all file naming and metadata to ensure accuracy and consistency across asset categories. Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment with tight deadlines. Rights and Permissions Management: Establish processes around image rights and manage permissions with internal and external teams. Collaborative Work: Work independently as well as with a variety of co-workers, supervisors, managers, producers, photographers, art directors, and retouchers. Asset Usage Reporting: Generate reports and metrics on asset usage. Training and Support: Lead training sessions to ensure system users have the tools and knowledge necessary to operate the DAM independently and know how to raise support issues. Media Organization: Daily ingest, organization, tracking, and archiving of all captured media, delivery files, and project files. Request Fulfillment: Provide solutions to footage and audio requests. Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with producers, sales, marketing, social media, and design teams on product launch timing and associated asset deliverables. Asset Distribution: Create and distribute assets based on specific requirements of digital channels and platforms. Onboarding & Training: Onboard new editors and sound designers working in ProTools, Logic, and Adobe Suite. Workflow Creation: Create workflows and delivery cadence for upcoming shoots and podcasts. Technical Support: Provide technical support for system users and troubleshoot issues. Editing Preparation: Prep edits in Adobe Premiere, ProTools, or other DAWs. Remote Recording Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot remote audio recordings via Riverside.fm, Squadcast, or Zoom. Production Assistance: Assist with video shoots and edits.
