Job Description

Skills & Abilities:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Enjoy working in a datacenter environment, both as an individual and team contributor
• Experience working with Client PowerEdge Servers and Computers
• Ability to trouble shoot, take ownership of work and continually strive for excellence.
• Strong written and verbal communication - we are constantly communicating with our engineering partners, documenting our efforts in our ticketing system, through email, and in person.
Desirable Skills:
• Basic networking skills, including switch configuration and troubleshooting
• Experience with VMWare environments
Role:
As a Lab Support Engineer 2, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining the infrastructure in a datacenter lab environment. This includes deploying new equipment, troubleshooting basic problems, helping our engineering partners configure their servers and many other tasks. You will be working with the latest servers and switches and learning the newest technologies. You will work alongside other members of our team to provide excellent service to the engineers who are using the hardware in our datacenter so they can accomplish their goals as quickly as possible.
Responsibilities:
• Provide general client/server and networking support for the configuration and maintenance of the engineering solutions for the lab computing environment
• Be responsible for ensuring proper deployment of servers, networking switches, storage arrays and software; troubleshoot issues that arise
• Assist in the maintenance and automation of the datacenter environment as needed and ensure that any issues are identified and resolved
• Maintain a working knowledge of all documented procedures
• Replace system hardware by following documented processes
