Job Description

The Crisis Management Specialist is a subject matter expert for incident and crisis events that can or have impacted Huntington’s customers, colleagues, buildings, or business processes. The Crisis Management Specialist maintains and improves the Corporate Crisis Management program; leads response teams to mitigate impacts and recover impacted units; monitors, assesses, and provides the recommended incident response next steps; creates and distributes executive-level incident summaries and updates; plans and conducts CCM response team training and exercises. The Crisis Management Specialist will have experience with regulatory requirements, federal guidance, and industry best practices and analyzes incident data to determine metrics, trends, and the associated risk to the bank. Duties and Responsibilities include performing CCM On-call Colleague Duties by monitoring, evaluating, and responding to threats such as technology, operational, severe weather, infectious disease/pandemic outbreaks, and security incidents; managing the Crisis Communication Application by maintaining colleague contact information, groups, rules, and user access; maintaining CCM Response Plans by updating response plan membership, tasks, and associated documents and distributing finalized plans; conducting CCM Training and Exercises by scheduling, planning, and conducting required response team training and exercises; continuing professional development through education, training, and development efforts; and other duties as assigned. Basic qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent, 5 years of Crisis Management or Incident Management experience, and 3 years of building and running detailed training scenarios and exercises. Preferred qualifications include industry certification in incident management, crisis management, crisis communications or business continuity, knowledge of regulatory and federal guidelines pertaining to crisis management, ability to work an on-call schedule with non-standard business hours, excellent judgment, multitasking and prioritization skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. The position is full-time, office-based, and exempt from overtime pay.
