Location: Rahway, New Jersey Hybrid (must be able to work onsite in Rahway at least 2 days per week)Job Type: Salaried position with benefitsCompensation Range: $75 - 85 per hourCella has an exciting opportunity for a Creative Director (CD/COPY) at an award-winning, best- in-class, in-house agency at a major pharmaceutical company. This full-service agency produces a full suite of digital, video, augmented/virtual reality, and print assets and is consistently rated better than both similar in-house agencies and external competitors-overall and with respect to innovation, execution, and client support.The CD provides creative leadership, including concepting, scriptwriting, storyboarding, production, and post-production for video and content production. This position will focus on shaping the creative vision for all content-related projects within the in-house agency. The CD will be hands-on and will guide the concept development and execution. This person must exhibit outstanding creative judgment, superb expertise in video and content production, and be able to guide their team in achieving the highest possible standards appropriate for all materials regardless of medium.This role ensures that creative strategies effectively communicate complex medical and scientific information in an engaging and accessible way, while aligning with brand objectives and industry regulations. The CD maintains a working knowledge of clients' business challenges and leads innovative and conceptual solutions to address those challenges.Responsibilities:Guide the video production process, from scriptwriting to final execution, ensuring high-quality storytelling across digital and traditional channels.Lead and manage teams of creatives and copywriters to create engaging content for healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and stakeholders.Ensure all creative content aligns with regulatory and legal requirements (FDA, EMA, etc.) while maintaining strong brand messaging.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and regulatory teams, to develop scientifically sound and visually compelling narratives.Stay up to date with pharmaceutical industry trends, patient engagement strategies, advertising, and digital media advancements.Motivate the team to strive for excellence, consistently delivering high-quality work.Demonstrate the ability and willingness to step in and contribute wherever needed to ensure project success. Qualifications:Proven experience in creative leadership within a promotional pharmaceutical advertising agency in addition to a background in Corporate Communications, PR, News, and/or Broadcast.Hands-on pharmaceutical agency experience in video production, screenwriting, copy, and content creation for regulated industries.Expertise in holistic advertising and marketing - in content and visual promotion and communications, and proven leadership over both areas.Strong understanding of video production and content creation best practices, tools, and technology.Strong understanding of FDA requirements for pharmaceutical marketing.Ability to navigate pharma regulations and compliance requirements.Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex medical concepts into compelling narratives.Ability to collaborate well with cross functional teams.Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software.Experience using Workfront.Skills:Bachelor's degree required; MFA preferred, preferably in design, advertising, or related field.Minimum of 8 years professional experience required.Minimum of 4 years management experience leading teams of copy and creatives required.Must have at least 2 years Pharmaceutical Agency experience.Extensive knowledge of Corporate Communications, PR, News, and/or Broadcast.JOBID: 1081645#LI-CELLA#LI-DC1#PLEqual Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
