Job Description
We are seeking a senior-level Content Designer to lead content strategy and execution for document upload, capture, and import experiences within our client's flagship tax preparation software. This role involves creating clear, user-friendly content that helps customers seamlessly upload and manage documents during tax preparation. You may also craft content for platforms used by tax experts for document management.
You'll work in a fast-paced, iterative design environment, collaborating with product designers, researchers, and cross-functional teams to create exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will strike a balance between conversion goals and customer-centric content, ensuring the right tone, structure, and voice across all touchpoints.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement a content strategy for document upload, capture, and import experiences
Write clear, concise UX copy for document management screens and workflows
Collaborate with designers, researchers, and product teams to refine content solutions
Balance text with visual elements to optimize content density
Highlight customer benefits through strategic messaging and content placement
Use design strategy, data insights, and research to inform content decisions
Drive conversion and revenue through effective content solutions
Manage content for tax expert platforms and document management systems
Required Experience & Skills
3-5 years of experience as a Content Designer or UX Writer, working on consumer software products
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools
Strong collaboration skills with product designers, researchers, and cross-functional teams
Ability to manage projects independently and work within tight deadlines
Comfort with receiving, responding to, and incorporating feedback
Excellent writing skills with a focus on tone, voice, and user-centered language
Strong problem-solving abilities that balance user needs and business goals
Experience writing for tax, customer service, or other fintech products
Background in UX design and user research practices
Experience working on complex software platforms or regulated industries
Portfolio demonstrating measurable improvements in user experiences
Education
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
Must submit UX writing samples or an online portfolio
