The Coding Educator 2 identifies opportunities to improve provider documentation and creates an education plan tailored to each assigned provider. The Coding Educator 2 will be responsible for arranging educational sessions with assigned providers aimed at quality of care and documentation improvements. Duties include pulling MRA reports, identifying educational needs based on reports, creating presentations, building ongoing relationships with staff and provider teams, virtual education, provider onsite education based on business needs, and collaboration with other market provider facing roles. Required qualifications include AHIMA or AAPC CPC Certification, 4 or more years of medical coding experience, risk adjustment knowledge, and familiarity with coding guidelines. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, CRC certification, experience interacting with healthcare providers, strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail, valid driver's license and reliable transportation, experience with public speaking and presentation skills, and Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge. The position is work at home with ability to travel up to 5% to surrounding provider offices. Additional information includes the use of HireVue interviewing technology, work from a dedicated space protecting PHI/HIPAA information, and occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings. Scheduled weekly hours are 40.
