Job Description

A dynamic full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) role is available for the 2025-2026 school year, supporting elementary through high school students. This in-person, contract position is located in Tacoma, WA, providing services from September 3, 2025, through June 16, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students ranging from Pre-K through grade 12
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor students progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to meet educational and developmental goals
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to school and healthcare regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student-centered planning

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), with valid credentialing for healthcare and school settings
  • Experience working with children in educational environments is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage a full caseload and maintain organized records
  • Commitment to providing hands-on, in-person therapy; virtual services are not an option for this role

Work Schedule:

  • Full time, 35 hours per week
  • In-person service delivery with no virtual options
