Summary/Objective
The Cash Reconciliation and Scanning Specialist is responsible for supporting the integrity and accuracy of the hospital’s financial operations. This position will be responsible for performing daily cash reconciliations between the general ledger and bank activity, scanning and indexing ERA and EOB documents for audit-readiness, and assisting with posting responsibilities. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to navigate multiple systems.
Essential Job Duties

Reconcile payments against ledger entries and bank activity.
Identify and resolve variances or out-of-balance conditions to maintain financial accuracy
Identify and research unapplied or misapplied payments
Completes high volume, timely scanning of all payment documentation
Ensures all scanned and reconciled documentation supports audit, compliance, and retention requirements
Assists in posting payments
Required Education And Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
1 - 3 years related experience
Required License/Certifications
