Our client is a progressive, digitally committed midsized law firm seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Business Development Manager with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a law firm BD setting, to add to their team. This key role will act as an advisor and advocate for attorneys in each practice area, drawing on the Firm’s larger business development, public relations, advertising, communications, and client-intake functions.
The Business Development Manager will:
-Develop and execute business plans that leverage a wide range of tactics.
-Develop and implement marketing and business development plans for assigned practice areas. -Collaborate with the content strategy team focused on marketing communications, including blog posts, articles, surveys, and opinions.
-Manage group’s content calendar, ensuring the timely execution of deliverable content.
-Develop, write, and maintain practice group materials.
-Collaborate with the Firm’s public relations team to synthesize practice news and insights into earned and owned media opportunities.
-Support practice growth by identifying and securing attorney participation in industry conferences, bar association conferences, and nonprofit events.
-Manage digital marketing campaigns for the firm, proactively managing a range of other as-needed projects.
The ideal candidate will possess superior written communication skills, including the ability to generate ideas, proofread and edit, and ultimately direct the production of content. A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services organization is required. Compensation includes salary ($135K-$155K) accompanied by a robust benefits package.
This key role requires the ability to work with constituents within and outside the firm in varying styles, molding communication and shared expectations into action and result. The firm rewards and supports a proactive, professional Business Development Manager.
