Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This position requires a strong work ethic, technical proficiency, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. While we prefer certified professionals, we are open to candidates who have the necessary schooling and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles using computerized diagnostic systems and other specialized tools.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle issues.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Repair or replace worn parts, such as brakes, suspensions, and engine components.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain vehicle issues and repair options.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years experience in an automotive repair setting is required.
Professional certification , such as a Red Seal Endorsement, is preferred, though not required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic systems to identify vehicle problems.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Ability to perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Tools:
Candidates are expected to have their own set of basic mechanic tools.
Ownership of a comprehensive toolset is a significant plus .
